I'm not really good at writing film reviews, as the saying goes, I can hardly give any literary comments.
You can also say that I don't have much ink in my stomach. As for why I'm writing this, it's because I saw someone posting about it in a group. At first, I thought it was a cosplay drama like "Barbie Fairytopia", so out of boredom and curiosity, I decided to watch it.
To put it simply, it's just a waste of time! Well, even though it's not a good thing to say about myself, I often have scattered thoughts. I always end up doing some trivial things out of curiosity until I realize at the end of the day that I haven't done anything o(︶︿︶)o sigh.
Let's get to the point! Actually, I don't really want to talk about film reviews, but rather the heartbreaking story in this movie! Let me give you a brief introduction:
A struggling young man named Xiaobai has failed in his investments and is heavily in debt. He feels that his whole life is filled with darkness. After saving a girl in a bar, he accidentally finds a blindfold, which allows him to experience the life of a rich and handsome man. The beautiful women and memories he encounters while wearing the blindfold, are they abyss or light?
A loser named Qian has lost all his money in stocks (such a cliché), and he feels that his life is filled with darkness. He has no hope. However, he unexpectedly saves a girl outside a bar and takes home the blindfold of the owner of a music store, and that's where the story begins. (What's the rhythm of this? This is just a typical third-rate movie, but why is it so popular? Isn't it because our group of people who have no expectations for society always hope for a hero to save the day? If we put ourselves in it, hehe)
Xiaobai (the loser) has a girlfriend named Xiaov (why not Xiaoz?). He vents all his dissatisfaction on Xiaov. In the morning, he tries an eye massager (I'm pretty sure it's an eye massager, I paused and saw the brand). He discovers something that a loser like him would never dare to imagine - he appears in the body of a rich second-generation. It's like his soul is in someone else's body, and he experiences a short-lived life of a rich and handsome man at a nightclub. But then the eye massager runs out of power.
When you have experienced what it feels like to be a rich second-generation, maybe you won't be willing to settle for mediocrity anymore (being a rich second-generation means not having to worry about life and just enjoying pleasure, but suddenly falling back to mediocrity. Your greed may be ignited, and I want to try it too). Xiaobai finds the owner of the lost eye massager in a music store basement. After going to the basement, he discovers a yellow disc and threatens a fat guy to provide him with the latest music discs for 10 years in exchange for not reporting to the police (you know what I mean). The hidden loneliness, escapism, and use of corrupt music products to numb oneself and avoid facing reality can be heard in the words of the fat guy. Then the fat guy tempts him to continue using the massager (memory blindfold). And then the unstoppable downfall begins, like being addicted to drugs and unable to stop. Money flows like water to the fat guy. And during the second time, Xiaobai clearly sees a girl from the countryside who sells her memories and appears to have the memory of a two-year-old child, but he doesn't pay much attention to this concept. But just like daydreaming, no matter how long the dream lasts, it's only for a day.
Xiaobai experiences a total of six times. Starting from the fourth time, he can't afford the increased price set by the fat guy and has spent all his available money, so he starts selling memories to the fat guy out of helplessness. The consequences can be imagined - he forgets the previous month, forgets the month before that, forgets the 999th day anniversary of meeting his girlfriend Xiaov. Xiaov discovers the truth, but Xiaobai ignores her warnings and continues to fall into the abyss of addiction.
That day, it was raining heavily. Xiaov bought a gift and waited for Xiaobai at the station where they first met. Xiaobai, still at the fat guy's place, sells memories in exchange for the memories of a rich person because of the heavy rain. But just like before, he ends up being abandoned by the roadside. The fat guy comes to rush him, saying that he has been waiting there for a whole day and he should leave quickly! (It's like reminding us that no matter how long a dream is, it will eventually end) When Xiaobai gets on the car back home, he sees Xiaov, who has been soaked in the rain all day. They argue and Xiaov angrily leaves.
When Xiaobai realizes that he is deeply poisoned and wants to redeem his memories, the fat guy tells him that his memories have been bought by someone else. Xiaobai throws a tantrum and insists on getting his memories back, but the fat guy reluctantly tells him that he can give him someone else's memories instead. But he assures Xiaobai that he will definitely like them! Xiaobai is like a person who has just come out of a drug rehabilitation center and is being lured back into addiction.
But when he uses the memories, he realizes that they are Xiaov's memories. He sees past events and memories from Xiaov's perspective. Xiaobai finally wakes up! But these memories were sold in order to redeem his own memories. He goes crazy and rushes out of the house. He wants to find Xiaov! Xiaov, where are you? Where are you? After learning some information from the fat guy, he rushes to find Xiaov. But when he sees Xiaov discussing a trip to the Maldives with the person who has always liked her because she doesn't remember him, he rushes up and calls Xiaov. He tells Xiaov that he is Xiaobai, but the amnesiac Xiaov doesn't recognize him and gets into the luxury car of the person who likes her, driving towards the airport. When Xiaobai arrives at the airport, he sees Xiaobai who is about to board the plane, missing Xiaobai.
When Xiaobai regrets and screams to the sky that he was wrong, Ah V's voice comes from behind: "Okay! I'm back, will you still be mad at me?" (Isn't this a very happy and satisfying ending? Is it possible in reality? Absolutely not! This movie is so heartbreaking! And the ending is like a cover-up, it's not really an ending, but I can see through it! It's just pure irony! Blatant irony!)
Well, that's it! It's too heartbreaking. Am I destined to be a member of the FFF Club forever? I don't want to be!!!!!!
